German relics       




 
Sensational, recent discovery - the complete relic of a German MP44
assault rifle -- only the wooden butt and handgrips are missing, which have
rotted away after all those years. Weapon was found in the vicinity of
Martelange, Luxbg. and belonged most likely to a soldier of the 5th German
Paratroop Division.

 
German 7,5cm “Sprenggranate” (= high explosive) (Panther tank Kwk42 gun) with fuze type “kl.Az23 umg.” , found October 2005.

 
German 8cm Wgr34 mortar shells, discovered June 2001.

2 German 7.5cm l. Ig 18 ( Leichtes Infanteriegeschütz; 18 = light infantry gun, model 18) steel shell cases, after more than 60 years -- in very rusty condition.

The pictured gas mask container was not all we’ve found that day . . . . , it still contained after all those decades its protective respirator mask and . . .
to our astonishment, . . . . German cigarettes!
