Unspecified British water trailer
The museum has recently acquired an unusual British-origin 2-wheeled trailer,
believed to be a mobile water purification unit or drinking water tank. The
piece was obtained as a donation from obsolete stocks from the Luxembourg army.
Prior to complete restoration and proper stencilling, the museum would greatly
appreciate receiving any available technical data as well as additional information
on the use of this equipment, which appears to have two "filter" units.
We would also be grateful for any technical drawings, photographs and historical
narrative.
The trailer itself was probably used in the early 50s by the Luxembourg army
and its origins seem to go back to 1940 as the year of manufacture.
A mini series of close-ups are provided as reference.
Many thanks in advance for any information which may be sent by e-mail to mnhmdiek@pt.lu.
